Stoves
By
Country:
England
The
island
that
built
an
empire
also
built
a
great
many
stoves;
the
metalworkers
and
engineers
of
the
country
that
invented
the
steam
locomotive
were
naturals
for
making
stoves
as
well.
Already
having
a
whole
industry
based
on
brass
products,
it
is
no
wonder
that
when
Swedish
companies
started
to
export
pressure
blowtorches
and
stoves
the
British
went
for
them
as
well.
Especially
in
Birmingham
many
stove
brands
were
made.
However,
after
World
war
2
most
of
those
small
enterprises
had
to
give
in.
Interestingly,
none
of
the
major
international
stove
brands
today
are
British.
