Safari Album

Fishers always love to talk about the big ones they didn't catch. Well, stove collectors do too - and unlike the fishers they have time to wield the camera. Here's a fistful of snapshots from my primus expeditions on fairs, second-hand stores, open-air markets and other rich hunting grounds. Look at'em and weep!

Warning - this page will probably take a while to load.

Yes, that's about 11 different ones...

That's a 343 Rider, probably a Hunter, definitely a 71 or similar, and a couple I have no idea what is.

Look at the beauties.

White gas burners. A Radius, an 8R and some 71's.

Open-air market outside Budapest, Hungaria. It's a Sievert, and in good condition too!

Hunters, 71's and whathaveyous.

What IS that in the foreground? The one left to it is a Radius 43.

Look at the size of those things!

Early 8R. I think. It's the one behind it that I regret not buying, though.

White gas burner. 71?

The one farthest being....oooh.
