Phoebus

Austrian
brand,
manufactured
in
Wien.
The
letters
MJR
around
the
logo
stands
for
Metallwarenfabrik
Josef
Rosenthal.
Note
that
the
logo
changed
slightly
over
the
years;
this
is
just
one
version.
This
very
popular
brand's
later
models
were
copied
by
several
other
brands.
Phoebus
also
made
kerosene
pressure
lamps.
Today,
Phoebus
is
a
coveted
brand
among
collectors
and
fetch
high
prices.
It
is
actually
possible
to
get
hold
of
brand
new
Phoebus
stoves.
A
Japanese
company
seem
to
produce
exact
replicas
and
sell
them
on
the
Internet,
although
it's
unclear
whether
they
export
out
of
the
country.
