AGM
The
American
Gas
Machine
Company
was
founded
by
Hans
Hanson
late
in
the
19th
century,
and
was
at
one
time
one
of
USA's
largest
stove
manufacturers.
"The
American
Gas
Machine
Company
went
bankrupt
in
1939
and
their
assets
were
bought
by
the
Queen
Stove
Works
who
were
their
neighbours
in
Albert
Lea,
Minnesota.
This
company
retained
the
AGM
brand
and
continued
to
make
stoves
and
lamps
right
through
WW2
and
into
the
50s
and
60s.
The
company
name
was
changed
to
King
Seely
and
they
then
acquired
the
Thermos
brand
and
the
company
name
became
King
Seely
Thermos.
They
made
Kampkook
stoves,
and
Kamplite
lamps
and
stoves,
and
may
also
have
produced
stoves
as
Thermos
brand.
There
are
certainly
lamps
branded
Thermos.
The
company
was
later
moved
from
Albert
Lea
and
was
relocated
in
Macomb
IL
USA."
